As part of the construction of the extension to the Federal Social Court, the front section of the path to the main entrance and the neighbouring forecourt to the left and right were renewed. This was necessary because the enlargement of the front section of the main building shortened the main access route and thus also changed its height.

In order to maintain and further improve the highly representative character of the entrance situation, the surface was therefore completely renewed. This prevents the formation of patchwork carpets and preserves the harmonious overall appearance of the complex. The surface of the main path at the front and the adjoining forecourts on the left and right are given the same surfacing and thus form a visual unit. The new surfacing is based on the colour of the adjacent existing areas without attempting to reconstruct them, as there would always be a visual difference between new and old. The existing tree in the forecourt area, a solitary tree, suffered from a lack of water and nutrients and did not fulfill the representative requirements of the location. To improve the site conditions, the tree disc was enlarged and soil improvement measures were taken.
